  • Former co-leader of the Complex Deals solution at PwC Spain.
  • Over 20 years of experience in legal and financial advisory, with a focus on mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and illiquid investments.
  • Previously worked at some of Spain’s leading law firms and has been recognized since 2009 as one of the country’s top M&A lawyers.
  • Dual degree in Law and Business Administration – Universidad Pontificia de Comillas ICAI-ICADE.
  • Lecturer at various universities on Law and M&A topics.

Diego Abellán

Founding Partner
  • Former Head of Debt and Capital Advisory at PwC Spain, where he was also co-leader of the Complex Deals solution.
  • Nearly 20 years of experience in debt raising, project finance, and corporate finance, with a recent focus on illiquid investments (class actions, claim portfolios, and distressed debt).
  • Master’s in Finance – University of Illinois and Executive Master in Management Research – ESCP Business School. Advanced Studies Diploma (DEA) – Universidad Complutense de Madrid and Bachelor’s in Business Administration – Universidad de Murcia.
  • He has been a visiting researcher in Accounting at the Pamplin School of Business Administration (University of Portland).
  • Diego regularly publishes in peer-reviewed academic journals at an international level.

  • He has served as insolvency administrator in numerous bankruptcy proceedings of large corporations.
